Paris, November 28, 2024 – The VALGO Group, a recognized international player in decontamination and remediation of industrial sites and buildings, announces the appointment of Azad Kibarian to the position of Chairman.

Azad Kibarian, 50, joined the VALGO Group in April 2024 as Managing Director, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the environmental sector, having held key positions at Suez and Veolia.
As the group celebrates its 20th anniversary, Azad Kibarian is committed to guiding VALGO to new successes, in France and abroad, by drawing on its capacity for innovation and the talents of its 800 employees.

A career rich in environmental expertise

An engineer by training (Centrale Paris, class of 1999), Azad Kibarian has devoted most of his career to environmental issues. He began his career at Suez in engineering consulting, before joining the strategy department, where he focused on energy and climate issues. From 2009, he was responsible for managing key accounts in the hazardous waste and depollution sectors.
Mr. Kibarian went on to manage several subsidiaries in fields such as environmental facilities management, nuclear services and asbestos removal. From 2016 to 2021, he oversaw Suez’s hazardous waste and contaminated land activities in Europe, managing 1,800 employees in six countries with sales of 600 million€. At the beginning of 2022, he joins Veolia’s Executive Committee, in charge of the Italy, Africa and Middle East zone, 15,000 employees in 15 countries for over 2 billion € in sales.

New impetus for VALGO

As Chairman of the Group since September 10, 2024, Azad Kibarian is using his experience and vision to strengthen the foundations laid by VALGO over the past two decades. He guides the Group as it continues to grow in France and internationally, with the aim of consolidating its position as a key player in environmental rehabilitation.
