Renovation of the Grand Palais

Exceptional event, extraordinary project!

VALGO and its Asbestos Removal team participated in the renovation of the Grand Palais in Paris, France. The building, which has been undergoing rehabilitation since 2021, will host the Olympic and Paralympic fencing and taekwondo events.

The VALGO mission: dust removal from metal frames and glazing soiled by lead-polluted dust. To carry out this project with the necessary rigor and high quality, a team of 25 operators from our Asbestos Removal division was mobilized:

• 110,000m² of cleaned metal framework, in partnership with the company DEMOSTEN, including 25,000m² entrusted to rope access technicians
• 11,000m² of glass roof cleaned on the interior part
• work at 45 meters high at maximum altitude

A technical feat achieved in less than 6 weeks under the aegis of Jean-Michel Boyet, works director at VALGO and the V38 team. The high standards in the management of this site have largely contributed to the success of this emblematic project, carried out alongside our partners DEMOSTEN (manager), Colibri Energy and EMERGENCES.
