Lead removal at the famous passage Jouffroy located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris at the Grands Boulevards (Boulevard Montmartre) in the extension of the passage Panoramas passage. Not only does this historic passage owe its charm to its large glass roof, but above all to its atypical architecture of glass and iron. Moreover, this passage built in 1836 still welcomes many tourists in the Paris region today. It is for all these reasons that the renovation of this place was carried out taking into account its historical value. As a result, VALGO’s decontamination teams were commissioned in 2019 to renovate it. In fact, VALGO carried out the decontamination works in order to restore this historic site to its full splendor.
The VALGO teams were given the task of neutralizing the lead present in the glass roofs and façades. A large-scale lead removal project was carried out to bring this emblematic passage back to life. All the lead removal works were executed by VALGO teams on an occupied site, as the Jouffroy passage is home to many shops. Since its creation, it has been one of the busiest passages in Paris.
