Problem / opportunity / objectives :

• To recover in an ecological and environmental way the organic waste generated by the regional market gardening and fruit production activity: 10,000 tonnes of organic waste treated per year
• To perpetuate the sustainable development approach undertaken on the certified “Organic Agriculture”

Solution:

• Methanisation of organic waste using VALBIO METHAMIX technology – 1 liquefier of 230 m3, 1 digester of 1,300 m3
• Biogas recovered by 330 kWe cogeneration, heat recovered for heating greenhouses dedicated to fruit cultivation
• In service since April 2016

Results of methanisation:

• 900,000 m3 of biogas produced per year
• 1,900,000 kWh of electricity / year
• 2,000,000,000 thermal kWh / year
