POLLUTEC 2018: 4 days of meetings and opportunities

07.12.2018

On the 40th anniversary of Pollutec, VALGO went to meet its clients, delegations from cities and countries, and professionals from the polluted sites and soils sectors.

For VALGO, this 28th edition of this exhibition in Lyon was marked by meetings with many stakeholders of the environment but also by several international delegations visits on the stand.

An exhibition dedicated to international development for VALGO

The representative of the Hanoi City delegation and François Bouché, CEO of VALGO, took the opportunity to sign a collaboration agreement for remediation works in the Vietnamese capital.

A Chinese delegation also came to discover the operations and works of VALGO. Then, after the inauguration of the Bijela shipyard works in Montenegro, representatives of the Montenegrin environmental agency explored new paths for collaboration through the visit of two of our flagship projects: Pôle d’innovation de Couronnes* in Normandy and a depollution site in Saint-Etienne, just before joining us to discover our stand in Pollutec.

Conferences led by our experts

These four days of the international reference exhibition on equipment, technologies and environmental services, were also an opportunity for our experts to share their work and their professions at conferences organized by the UPDS (Union of Professionals of the Depollution of the Sites) of which VALGO is a member. The first one, led by Eric Branquet, expert in brownfield management, Pierre Bousquet, valorisation and development manager, and Marius Draga, engineer, aimed to present our project of remediation of a brownfield: Le Pôle d’innovation of Couronnes*, application of our unique VALGOrisation model.

The next day, Laurent Thannberger, Scientific and Technical Director for the environment, soil and effluent remediation, and Karine Dumas, director of the depollution activity for the south of France, presented to their audience the thermal desorption technique through the experience feedback from a project for the rehabilitation of an industrial wasteland led by VALGO in Ardeche.
